About Happy Mango
This black-owned and woman-owned baby boutique initially only offered online shopping. Still, thankfully, owner Phnewfula Frederiksen set up a brick-and-mortar store in beautiful Atlanta, GA. Phnewfula Frederiksen had struggled to find a trusting eco-friendly baby store where she could find quality products for her two children, who are now 8 and 14.
Rather than drive herself crazy and continue her search only to end up empty-handed, she decided to become a solution to her problem by launching Happy Mango in 2009. When Frederiksen launched Happy Mango, she wanted a name that brought honor to her father’s native St.Thomas. This place was her family’s happy place where people just happened to love and happily enjoy mangoes!
People loved her upscale options and the fact that products matched their eco-friendly lifestyle; it was a success! However, people love having the option to shop in-store, and she wanted to make that possible. In 2016 she opened her brick-and-mortar in Kirkland and strived to make it a shop filled with green-friendly options of children’s clothing, essentials, and gear that she longed to shop in for her littles but couldn’t find.
With quality products and sensational customer service, her in-person shopping experience brought in more customers, which meant she needed a space upgrade. Happy Mango made its way to 200 Chattahoochee Row NW, Ste D, Atlanta ga 30318.
