Miami Beach Community Health Center is a full-service, outpatient medical facility that has provided health care in Miami-Dade County since 1977. The center’s mission is to give patients a client-focused environment and high-quality, affordable healthcare for primary and specialty services. There are multiple locations in the Miami area for patients’ convenience. Facilities include laboratories, pharmacies, and insurance assistance. Transportation to and from appointments is also available, as well as language assistance.
The center believes high-quality healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of gender, race, color, religion, ethnicity, or national origin. Your political beliefs, marital status, age, sexual orientation, financial background, linguistic preference, or disability do not affect your eligibility for care. All patients receive the same quality of healthcare.
Services
Miami Beach Community Health Center offers an onsite pharmacy at each location. Patients can access low-cost prescription drug services, including free home delivery, sliding fee discount programs, and prescription assistance for the uninsured. Also, patients can access clinical pharmacists and savings programs for insured patients.
MBCHC offers a wide range of patient services: adult medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, dental, behavioral health, endocrinology, ophthalmology, and podiatry. In addition to a pharmacy, each location has a laboratory where patients can get blood work done.
Other services include genetic testing, language assistance, marketplace insurance, public benefits application assistance, transportation to and from appointments, immigration physicals, referrals for specialists, substance abuse treatment, and medical education.
Specialty
This health care center has provided an Immune Support Program (ISP) as part of HIV/AIDS services since 1986. Clients typically receive services for 10-15 years or more. MBCHC serves a primarily Hispanic population, with all health centers having HIV specialists that provide outpatient care in culturally-sensitive environments.
ISP services include pharmaceutical assistance, financial assistance, medical transportation, mental health services, oral health care, and substance abuse services.
Each location has an onsite pharmacy for patients’ convenience. These pharmacies offer affordable prescription drug services, including free home delivery, sliding fee discount programs, prescription assistance programs, and savings programs. Similarly, they also offer 90-day supplies, prior authorization assistance, and access to clinical pharmacists, including HIV Medication Management Service.
